LETTERS TO THE EDITOR; 'WHERE WE LIVE' IS A GREAT EFFORT

To the editor:

What a treat to open Section C of Sunday's paper and find the "Where we live" feature on Commerce, Mo. The images by Susan Whitney and the story by Spencer Cramer are first-rate. Susan is an artist with a camera. I love her fine compositions and the candid quality of the photos. It looks like she only posed one subject -- Woodrow Pearson -- and the resulting natural light portrait is a prizewinner. And Spencer's intriguing story line tied all the photos together and left me wanting more. It's nice not to have to buy a big-city newspaper to get this kind of quality. Keep up the great work.
