Many people look forward to reading the Missourian each morning. It serves as the beginning of the day. The Feb. 28 progress issue, Time Travels, was without a doubt a winner.

Memories of the early 1900s that had faded away were brought to light by the vivid illustrations. That alone gave the publications special interest and shed light.

Pictures of various establishments are familiar to many. Possibly the oldest unique picture is that of the former Kage house. I venture to say it holds more history than any other building.

Pictures of the snow blizzard of 1979 were much appreciated. Some who were unable to obtain a picture of it are indeed grateful for the paper's article.

The very popular and much visited Sherman's Clothing on Main Street is remembered for its excellent quality and wide variety of clothing.

I do not recall receiving an edition so completely and so interestingly illustrated as Time Travels. Thus, so much appreciation and so many thanks go out to the Southeast Missourian for the beautiful edition.

Your hours, to say the least, were many, your efforts tireless and your accomplishment beyond all other publications.
