To the editor:
I've been reading in the Southeast Missourian about the most unfortunate people and kids in our area who are in dire need of the basic necessities of life that you and I take for granted.
We at Craftsman Independent Union thank God for the many blessings he has bestowed upon us, and we feel honored and privileged to share those blessings with the many, many persons in need.
I too cam out of Smelterville on a garbage truck with my brother, "Nip," and we surely have seen the plight of those less fortunate people, having been raised amongst the poorest of the poor in Cape Girardeau.
Thank you most sincerely for all the time and effort expended by the Southeast Missourian on behalf of the needy.
FRED D. "NOOK" KELLEY, General President
Craftsman International Union of North America
