LETTERS: THANKS FOR TOOTSIE ROLL SUPPORT

To the editor:

On behalf of the Fr. Marquette Council No. 11205 of the Knights of Columbus, we again want to thank the citizens of Cape Girardeau and surrounding areas for their support during our annual Tootsie Roll Drive for the mentally handicapped Oct. 9-11. We are specifically grateful to the area businesses that were so generous to our cause and the local city governments for their support. The residents of the area were enthusiastic, generous and very responsive to our cause, and we greatly appreciate it. All these things helped to make our even a huge success. The money collected from the drive will go to help the mentally handicapped in our area.

Once again, we want to say thank you.
