LETTERS; THANKS FOR GOOD STORY ON OLD MCKENDREE

To the editor:

I want to express my personal thanks and that of the Old McKendree Chapel Board of Trustees for the excellent article about Old McKendree Chapel which appeared in the Sept. 25 Southeast Missourian.

It is impressive to me that this log chapel is still standing 180 years after it was completed in 1819.

Laura Johnston, reporter, and Stephan Frazier, photographer, were such nice people to work with, and I appreciate their help, kindness and professionalism. Their story was excellent and accurate.

My thanks to all at the Missourian who prepared the Old McKendree Chapel feature story.
