LETTERS: THANKS FOR CIVIC INTEREST

To the editor:

When we received the "Hugs" card for our Toybox and Christmas for the Elderly contributions, I began to reflect on the numerous community and civic activities that the Southeast Missourian so generously supports throughout the area.

Many of us take this for granted without considering the time and cost involved in the Missourian's participation in these events.

Thanks to you and your employees for all you do for us. We wish each of you a most joyous Christmas and a very happy, healthy 1997.
