LETTERS: STATE AUDITOR BRINGS FRESH AIR

What a pleasant surprise to read of the efforts of State Auditor Claire McCaskill. I had long ago determined that no one in government really cared how our valuable tax dollars were spent. The audits that McCaskill has conducted are a breath of fresh air. She even picked up on the giveaway of state higher-education funds to the ex-SEMO president, although her report might have been a little more effective if she had referenced the increase in SEMO tuition which seems to have happened after the decision to give the ex-president such a nice plum in addition to his retirement check. My hat is off to Auditor McCaskill. She is one Democrat I will vote for in all her future elections.
