LETTERS: SPIRTUALLY ADOPT AN UNBORN BABY

To the editor:

Jan. 22, 1998, will mark the 25th anniversary of the Supreme Court's decision legalizing abortion. Each year 1.5 million babies are aborted surgically. This amounts to 37 million babies killed surgically since 1973.

Did you know that between 8 million and 12 million babies are aborted during their first week of life every year due to the use of the pill, Norplant, Depo-Provera and the IUD? This means that since 1973, more than 200 million have died due to the use of these devices. Since 1973 over 237 million babies have died in the womb. That is roughly the population of the United States today.

Think of the number of consumers we would be having now. We wouldn't have to be worrying about having enough Social Security taxes collected. There would be plenty of workers for plenty of businesses.

If you would like to spiritually adopt an unborn baby, here is a prayer that can be used to help them. Please pray it every day for nine months: Dear God, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.
