LETTERS: NEW DIRECTIONAL SIGNS

To the editor:

I was very pleased and impressed to read of the red-and-blue, easy-to-read directional markers to inform visitors as well as residents in our city of the important places of interest, due in part to the expansion of Cape Girardeau. I consider that a well-planned and much needed project for Cape Girardeau.

Our city is expanding by leaps and bounds, and we need to expand with it. To have markers on the highway in directing people to the Show Me Center or university is an excellent move for our city. I personally have been asked several times the proper direction to the Show Me Center, which I could not accurately supply. In my estimation, this fine project is long overdue. However, much planning was necessary.

A big thanks, then, to those who were instrumental in this fine project.

Not only are the directional markers informative, they are also very attractive.
