LETTERS: KIDS MAKE WISH, SO PRINCIPAL HAS TO KISS UGLY FISH

To the editor:

Just north of Cape at a school called Nell Holcomb

They have teachers and staff that really are awesome.

Just this week I attended a big assembly at school

About accelerated reading, a program that's really cool.

Principal Mary Boeller had told the students if they wish

And reach a point goal of 22,000, "I will kiss a fish."

Now here we are at the end of this school year.

The students exceeded their goal. It was Mrs. Boeller's best and worst fear.

So being the trouper she is

And being very, very proud of these kids,

She held true to the students' wish.

She puckered up and kissed that great big ugly fish.

Thanks, Nell Holcomb School, for all that you do for our kids.
