Dear Editor:

The Chinese proverb, "Be not afraid of going slowly. Only be afraid of standing still," may well apply to Judith Ann Crow, long-time worker at the Southeast Missourian.

Judy, as she is familiarly called, struggled many years with her crippling disease, slowly but surely with determination in her heart.

Judy Crowd did tremendously well at her job with the Southeast Missourian, never wavering. She was respected for her knowledge and reliability.

Since retirement, Judy's interest and contribution to the community continues to grow. Her keen mentality and courage is responsible for this.

Her strong faith and excellent spirit enables her to follow the words of the Chinese proverb: "Be not afraid of going slowly. Only be afraid of standing still." Judy has not stopped.
