LETTERS: JOBS CREDIT GOES TO BUSH

To the editor:

In 1991, President Bush signed legislation providing $151 billion for public works projects such as highways and bridges. This appropriation did not go into effect until 1993, which n ow explains the thousands of high-paying construction jobs across the country.

President Clinton is now benefiting from and taking credit for the improved economy that President Bush had created. I can't understand why the Republican Party has not stated these facts to the voters.
