To the editor: I see there is some dissension in using Rush Limbaugh as a draw for Cape Girardeau's tourism industry. All I can say is it is about time. Limbaugh has been on the ascendancy for a long time, and anyone who hasn't had his or her head in the sand knows that for a fact. Just ask the Florida orange juice industry what the boycott of orange juice did for Florida...

Tourism today is the No. 1 industry in the United States, and anything that can be done to promote it is a good thing. The Cape Girardeau area has a lot going for it, and Limbaugh is a most marketable commodity.
