I must be critical of your endorsement of Jim Talent in the gubernatorial race. Your review of the campaign is quite mistaken. In your endorsement, you referred to Holden as the candidate attacking Talent's plans. "Attacking" is misleading. Talent's plans are often flawed.

Throughout the campaign, Holden has fulfilled his responsibility to the people of Missouri by pointing out the weak points of Talent's plans.

I attended the debate here in Cape Girardeau, and if my memory serves me correctly, both candidates did a good job of pointing out the weak points of the other's flaws for how to serve Missourians best. What I saw and heard at the debate was Talent delivering a prepared speech, but Holden spoke with honesty and excitement of his plans.

For my governor, I want someone who will tell it to me straight. I want Holden.
