To the editor:
David Shor, environmental wacko and head of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, is fast becoming a political embarrassment to Gov. Mel Carnahan, who appointed Shor. Carnahan exercised poor judgment in appointing Shor in the first place.
The only news more thrilling than the prospect of Shor's exodus from state affairs would be news that foretold the departure of the DNR itself. Society in general doesn't believe in rewarding criminal behavior. Why should our elected officials continue to reward the DNR with its continued criminal existence?
Anybody with an open mind can take a look at past and present DNR policies and see that the DNR is a criminal entity with many faces that need to be arrested and prosecuted instead of rewarded with taxpayer dollars.
I wonder if there is a smart politician who has enough political savvy to take down the DNR and, in so doing, take over the governor's seat.
