LETTERS: DEMOCRATS FAVOR BARBARIC PROCESS FOR LATE ABORTIONS

To the editor:

Decision time is fast approaching. To my fellow Catholics who are inclined to vote Democratic, I ask you to consider the following:

The Democratic Party and its major figures, including Al Gore and Bob Holden, actively support partial-birth abortion. The Democratic Party says this barbaric procedure is necessary to save the life of the mother. This is an outrageous, blatant lie.

The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology has testified repeatedly that this procedure is never indicated to save the life of the mother.

These are the facts. Ignore them if you can, but they remain the facts.

There are other issues we face as a nation, but none is as important as the killing of innocent newborns for personal convenience. This issue dwarfs all others.
