To the editor:

A new book, "The Year of the Rat," by two Republican Capitol Hill staffers with extensive investigative experience in fields of China, national security and international financial crimes, reveals the true extent of how Bill Clinton sold out America's national security to China in return for campaign cash. This book describes Clinton's actions as bribery, an identifiable high crime that calls for removal from office.

The obstruction of justice impeachment resolution sent to the Senate is broad enough to include Clinton's massive cover-up of this bribery and to dispose completely of all those who complain that this impeachment is just about sex. The book presents a picture of bribery, extortion and obstruction of justice and is copiously documented. In my opinion, the president's activities were not only illegal, but traitorous and constitute more than enough evidence for conviction during the impeachment process. For those who say it is the will of the people who elected the man to office that he should be let off the hook for his outrageous behavior, there is ample evidence that he was elected only because of his selling out our country to the communists and that his contributions unfairly tipped the election results to his favor. He wasnt elected by the people of the United States. He was elected by the government of communist China.

His treachery will no doubt some day bring the United States to a crises that could jeopardize the defense of this country in future confrontations with China. Not only has he sold out the country for illegal campaign contributions, but he has cut our military capability to the bone, closing many bases and causing many to leave in disgust the different branches of the service. Meanwhile, what is left of our military is spread thin all over the globe on peacekeeping missions under the auspices of the U.N.The people of this country have been lulled into feelings of contentment by our greed. As long as the economy is doing fine and I am getting mine, let's not think of the future. We dont care what dangers we leave our children and grandchildren in seems to be the slogan of the day. We should remember that what we sow today, we will harvest abundantly in the future. I hope that we can all get used to eating rice on a regular basis.
