To the editor:
As a concerned parent, I appreciated Peter Kinder's perspective on Outcomes Based Education and other educational trends that may soon be attempted in Missouri schools. The future of this country depends largely upon the quality of education of our children.
What my husband and I desire in a school for our children is a Bible-centered instruction, moral restraing, a strong emphasis on the three Rs, high academic standards and teachers who demonstrate a genuine love and concern for their students. We have found these qualities and more at Cape Christian School.
According to the results of the Stanford Achievement Test, Christian school students consistently average one full year ahead of the national norm. This is especially significant since, contrary to common belief, Christian schools do not hold to an elitist form of enrollment but accept students of averabe ability or below.
If back-to-basics education appeals to you, I invite you to attend and informational open house at Cape Christian School on Tuesday, March 28, at 7 p.m. The school is at 1855 Perryville Road.
