Let's build something that works

To the editor:

Now is the opportunity to rediscover America. We have said, "We will try." Nice try. Do we know what we are saying? Are we really ready? Barack Obama and John McCain said, "We are." Obama told us, "It's about you." Will we as democratic republicans cross the aisle as the first nation builders (Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe and others) did?

Are we ready to pay our bills? Can we abandon the meaningless phrases and name calling (conservative, liberal, socialist and more) that only detract us? Are we ready to engage in the task of rebuilding the special system of what works for everybody?
