To the editor:

Thank you for your continuing efforts to educate your readers to the etiology of the autism epidemic.

Our son, Andrew, 11, is the lead plaintiff versus Eli Lilly Co. and the makers of vaccine containing thimerosal. His case is currently stayed in U.S. District Court in New York pending changes to the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.

The resistance and public relations campaign waged against our efforts began in November 2002 with attempts to insert blatant protection for Eli Lilly in the Homeland Security Act. Thanks to a vigilant media, this failed.

U.S. Sen. Bill Frist continues to use his influence to attempt to bury this kind of protection in every piece of legislation that comes forward in this congressional session. It is appalling.

We need the media to keep a watchful eye on these activities. The best way to carefully analyze the link between thimerosal and autism is to follow the money. Rich, powerful lobbies are doing everything they can to keep us, and our evidence, from reaching a court and a jury as well as the public's scrutiny.

Nothing can deter us from our mission for the whole truth of childhood vaccines be exposed.
