To the editor: Jackson High School's speech and debate department competed April 22 at the state level in Columbia, Mo. My granddaughter, Audrey Stanfield, competed in radio news broadcasting, one of 12 events. There were two rounds of preliminaries and a final round. I am so proud to relate she brought the school a first place. This is only the second time this has occurred, the last being 17 years ago. How great it is to have a state champion. Way to go, Audrey, I'm a proud grandmother...
