Jackson PD thankful for toy drive

To the editor:

On behalf of the Jackson Police Department, I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who donated toys or money to our toy drive this year. We received so many donations that it would be impossible for me to list all of you, but you know who you are, and it was greatly appreciated.

This is a very difficult time of year for some families. With your support, I hope we made it a little easier.

We definitely put some smiles on the faces of children who wouldn't have had the Christmas that they had hoped for.

I would also like to give a big round of applause to the Jackson Elks Lodge for its hard work and support every year on this event. I have been there when the Elks are setting up and getting everything read, and to see the amount of work and time put in this event is nothing short of amazing.

Once again, from everyone at the Jackson Police Department, thank you from the bottom of our heart. With your support,
