To the editor: The Humane Society is to be commended. The recent open house evidenced the first-class organization that it is. The facility was very clean and odorless. The animals were also clean and in well-kept quarters. More so than these obvious externals were the attitudes of caring and service. In these times of fiscal austerity and responsibility, this organization should receive praise and congratulations from all of us. It is well-run and serves us all in an exceptional manner...
