Students, alumni and friends of Southeast Missouri State University have a busy homecoming weekend ahead of them. Many of the special events started earlier this week, but there is a full slate tonight, Saturday and Sunday. Here are some highlights:

The Best of Def Comedy Jam is at 7 p.m. tonight at Academic Auditorium. The prestigious Friend of the University Award will be given at the Copper Dome breakfast at 7 a.m. Saturday at the Show Me Center. The homecoming parade, with the theme "Southeast: There's No Place Like Home" is it 9 a.m. Saturday from Capaha Park to downtown all along Broadway. There will be an international bazaar starting at 11 a.m. Saturday in front of Houck Stadium. And the homecoming football game with Tennessee Tech kicks off at 2 p.m. Saturday at Houck Stadium.

With luck, the weather will be perfect autumn fare, just right for a grand homecoming weekend.
