To the editor:Separation of church and state: What does that really say? Everyone knows that the word "state" means government, and "separation" means just that: separate. A torn piece of paper is separate from the other piece of paper.

The church is not a building. The church is the people in the church building. Separation of church and state is saying that the Christian is to be separated from the government. Therefore, the Christian will lose all of his constitutional rights. A stretch, you say? Look at our past. Why is it that we are so quick to demonstrate our ignorance? Is it because if we forget the past we are bound to repeat it? I sure am proud of our nation. How about you?
