Our country has been blessed with great wealth and financial resources. As Christians, we have an obligation to meet the fundamental needs of the most vulnerable members of our society. Mr. Jetton's bill is a step in the right direction by providing food to the elderly and encouraging donations to local food pantries.

The government cannot solve all of our problems, but this bill will create a partnership with the private sector to fight hunger in our state.
