This week was another milestone for Cape Girardeau's most famous lawyer, Rush H. Limbaugh. He celebrated his 104th birthday anniversary.
Mr. Limbaugh is an wonderful testimony to long life. His legal career -- perhaps one of the longest ever -- continues. He still goes to his office and works on cases now and then. He is still interested in the events and affairs of the world and his hometown. He still shows up from time to time at the luncheon meetings of the Cape Girardeau Rotary Club. He still recalls the details of cases from years long past.
As the American population ages, thanks in large part to good medical care, thousands of folks can look to Mr. Limbaugh's life as an example of the contributions to be made by those who have maturity and wisdom to share.
Retire at age 65? Not Mr. Limbaugh. If he had done that, he would have been enjoying retirement since 1956.
