To the editor: Maybe I'm getting old, I don't know. But what I do know is there seems to be a lot of squabbling going on over items that are not of particular value. So maybe we need to sit down and talk. If someone has a tattoo and you don't even know the person, how does it affect you personally?...

Maybe I'm getting old, I don't know. But what I do know is there seems to be a lot of squabbling going on over items that are not of particular value. So maybe we need to sit down and talk.

If someone has a tattoo and you don't even know the person, how does it affect you personally?

If your neighbor has a yard sale for two days out of the year and cleans up afterward, what business is it of yours? If it's the parking, are your friends more important than theirs?

If a teacher is failing to teach the proper aspects of school work, then it's time to get rid of the teacher. That is something I will address at another time.

Regarding school supplies: When I was in school, I remember borrowing a pencil or a pen once in a while or using someone's protractor or compass and at times letting others use mine. Are we so selfish that we don't want our children to share their good fortune?

I guess the real question here is: When will we grow up? When will we put away our childish squabbles and prepare for a better future for our children and ourselves?
