I was honored to have Jerry Ford give me a personal tour of his wonderful "50 Years in the World of Music" exhibit at the Cape River Heritage Museum. The exhibit includes videos, pictures, instruments, honors received and many items expressing his lifelong experience with music. I have great admiration for this gentleman and feel privileged to have heard his stories.
Before my retirement last year as president/director of the museum, the board had scheduled to have Jerry's 50 years and the Cape Girardeau Fire Department's 100 years on exhibit, and we looked forward to this time. Dr. John Holcomb, president of the museum board, with Viney Mosley as director, deserve a round of applause, and I give them a thumbs-up. They've done an outstanding job with the museum's new look and gift shop.
If you haven't visited the Cape River Heritage Museum for a while, take the time. The very capable Delilah Tayloe will give you a grand tour.
