Focus on good instead of all the unhappiness

To the editor:

I fear for those who appear so unhappy and who find dissatisfaction instead of looking for the good in life. That definitely does not show a healthy state of mind. That's what I oppose in Speak Out. There is some good in every life. I would like to refer to the Speak Out item, "Making judgments."

My mother stayed at home and took care of the family. There were four children, and she managed the entire household chores. I was brought up in a loving and Christian family. There was such peace of mind and happiness. I am very thankful for that. I am sure much of the same can be said of many families today.

With so much unhappiness, it is nice to focus on the good. It is out there also.
