FITNESS FEST TO BE HELD ON OCT. 18

St. Francis Medical Center's fifth annual Fall Fitness Fest is set for Oct. 18 with all events beginning and ending on the medical center grounds.

This year's Fitness Fest events include a 5K run, a 10K run, a 5K wheelchair race, a 3.1-mile non-competitive walk, and a one-mile fun run-walk.

Activities will be headquartered outside of the St. Francis Rehabilitation Center. Events will begin at 1 p.m. with race-day registration starting at 11 a.m.

Prizes will include savings bonds, medals, trophies and ribbons. Fitness Fest T-shirts are included in the registration fee.

Major sponsors for this year's Fall Fitness Fest are the St. Francis Rehabilitation Department, HealthSouth Inc., and South East Missouri Bank.

The Cape Road Runners running club is again helping coordinate Fitness Fest activities.
