To the editor:
As the owner of Bi-State Southern Oil Co., there are special events that come up from time to time that allow me the opportunity to experience things that would normally not be extended. Such was the case when my convenience store on South Sprigg Street was chosen for a scene in the movie "Killshot." All of us enjoyed watching the scene and were amazed by all that went into the shooting.
On behalf of myself, family, staff, friends and customers, I would like to thank John Madden for choosing Cape Girardeau, along with Dan Kinkade and all of the people associated with the movie. I would like to thank our city leaders, the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce, Chuck Martin and the Convention and Visitors Bureau and Tim Arbeiter and Old Town Cape for all their efforts to bring this production to Cape Girardeau. I would also like to thank Missouri Dry Dock Co. and Morley Swingle for all their work and cooperation. I am sure there are more people behind the scenes who did a lot of work, and I thank them.
The cast, crew and staff of "Killshot" have been spectacular. Everyone involved has been so generous with allowing our city to view the production. I had the privilege of meeting Thomas Jane, and I have never met a nicer guy.
This film has touched many residents and has give us fond memories for a lifetime. Thank you so much.
SCOTT BLANK, Bi-State Southern Oil Co., Cape Girardeau
