The Cape Riverfront Market begins its season at 8 a.m. May 5 and continues every Saturday in downtown Cape Girardeau. Jackson's Farmers Market opens up on Tuesdays beginning May 1 at the St. Louis Iron Mountain & Southern Railway Train Station.

Vendors of course will provide vegetables, a staple of farmers markets. But vendors at the markets also sell berries and fruits; beef and pork; salmon, bison, cinnamon rolls, doughnuts. crafts and all sorts of other goodies.

Be sure to check out the locally grown offerings this spring and summer.
