The deaths of four employees of Falcon Communications and the spouse of one of the employees will be difficult for family and friends, as well as the communities in which the victims lived and worked.
The five were flying in an eight-seat airplane when it went down last week near Jackson, Tenn., the apparent result of the aircraft having experienced engine and propellor trouble.
Killed were all five people aboard: Falcon president Brian L. Provance, 44; chief financial officer Lisa Goessling, 38; company engineer William A. Jones, 41; pilot Alan England, 47; and Goessling's husband, David W. Goessling, 40.
The tragedy won't soon be forgotten in Malden and Dexter, the Missouri cities in which the victims lived.
In small communities, it's hard not to know the victims of tragedies. The five aboard the doomed plane had relatives, friends, co-workers and Sunday-school classmates who will have to deal with their mourning but, at the same time, can give each other much-needed support in the days ahead.
May those who grieve find comfort and solace from the communities they call home.
