The federal government Department of Education is a total waste of taxpayers' time and money, too. There is no need to pay somebody a six-digit salary sitting in Washington, DC. This hasn't improved education in any way. Education should be funded by local taxes again and not given to some federal bureaucracy that has no idea what issues a local teacher or community are dealing with.

The new federal government "Common Core" program does nothing, absolutely nothing, for local communities; all it has done is to try and justify some federal government agency's pay and job. Make America's education good again, stop the thousands and thousands of documents and rules that have not improved the quality of education one bit. Pay the teaching profession and give it the respect it deserves, chances are more people would join the profession again.

There's a real good chance people couldn't read or understand this letter without the help of a teacher sometime in their life.
