In an article published in the Nov. 4 edition of the Southeast Missourian, U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson said, "At the end of the day, the money doesn't matter. On Nov. 8, NPR published an article stating that besides the net gain in the House of Representatives, the GOP will also win the rights to redraw congressional districts. The article also contained a unique twist, saying that, "... 10 states will lose seats. New York and Ohio stand to each lose two. States that face the prospect of losing a seat include Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey and Pennsylvania."

It isn't rocket science. No jobs equal no people. Representative Emerson voted for every free trade agreement that came down the pike, and thanks in part to her decisions, Rep. Emerson, who campaigned on being a proven and effective leader, Missouri stands to lose representation in Congress as well.

Rep. Emerson I humbly ask that when you consider redrawing congressional districts, could you please leave the Ozarks out of the 8th?
