Student Santas began as an extra-credit project in a class taught by Jennifer Icaza-Gast. She offered bonus points to students who brought toys to give to needy children.

Now in its 10th year, the organization has served about 15,000 children, Icaza-Gast said.

Student Santas is still accepting toys.

The organization is one of many that reach out to help disadvantaged people during the holidays. Congratulations and thanks to all of those who are involved in planning the meal and toy delivery.
