To the editor:Morley Swingle, Cape Girardeau County's prosecuting attorney, should put the title "king" in front of his name. If he had his way, he would be the supreme ruler of the land. His new DWI law is ridiculous. Some substances stay in your system for months. How does he expect to prove that someone is under the influence? How much money will the state spend to prosecute cases of this nature? A good defense lawyer will beat these cases, and the state will still pay for their side of the argument. If Swingle wants to know who is using drugs, maybe he could go door to door and force testing on everyone.
