At the funeral Thursday for Dr. James A. Kinder, his four sons eloquently paid tribute in words and song. The moving testimonials to a life lived good and well will linger in many hearts and minds for a long time.

There is widespread agreement among his family, friends, acquaintances and patients that Dr. Kinder was gentle man, one who could reach out to children whenever a visit to the doctor was necessary. As a pediatrician, Kinder has left a legacy of devoted medical care that spans generations.

But it is Kinder's enormous bequest of character, principle, example and religious fortitude that has had the most impact of all on the community he loved and served so well.

To his family and all others who mourn his death, we extend our heartfelt sympathy.
