Deer and contraceptives

Just wanted to say I am against the killing of the deer in Cape Girardeau. They are God's creatures the same as we are. Why not take the advice of the Speak Out caller and feed them contraceptives instead. This would be a much more humane way to cut their numbers down. I can assure you, no one will hunt them on my property. This should be brought to a vote of the people instead of a few council members. They and our mayor seem to have the same mentality as those who want to bring elk to Missouri. Do they want to trade one problem for another? While we're at it, let's feed some contraceptives to the squirrels. They are as big a problem as the deer.
