To the editor:
I am a new member of the Cape County Cowboy Church. Pastor Jim and the congregation are wonderful, caring people. My husband was dying with cancer, and Brother Jim came to visit and pray with him. The last visit he made, my husband was slipping into a coma. Pastor Jim came and read passages from the Bible and prayed with him. He asked if my husband accepted Jesus as his Savior. My husband instantly relaxed, nodded his head and closed his eyes for the last time. This was the last time I saw my husband communicate with anyone on this earth, and now I'm confident that he is with God. I have been attending the church ever since.
All of my problems, questions, and prayers have been answered by God through Brother Jim's sermons. Every service has a message or answer for me. It is unbelievable how I feel every time I leave church. Yes, there are people who come to our church for the entertainment, but I also believe they are being touched by our Lord as I have been .
The music is beautiful. The musicians are talented. But what makes it special is the obvious love they express with each song. The feeling of love is so strong within our church that I sometimes feel myself crying during the music. Pastor Jim's sermons are also very powerful. He explains it so well. Everyone is invited to come and listen and enjoy. We're sure you'll be back.
