To the editor:
It seems like either my wife or I, and sometimes both, are receiving more and more notifications that we are involved in some sort of a class-action suit against one company or another. We feel that these are an invasion of our privacy. It is very frustrating to find out that you are involved in a lawsuit against someone when you are perfectly satisfied with their goods and services. Before you will be allowed to have your name removed from these actions, you are required to look up and find specific information and fill out forms that have to be sent to the law firm handling the case.
We are not fond of looking up and filling out information when we want to initiate some proceeding, let alone to get out of something we never requested in the first place that adds no value to our lives. We have written to Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon about this.
