To the editor:I wonder how many will obey the no-burn warning today and go right ahead and burn at will. They shouldn't even need a warning with this strong wind, but it was just as windy yesterday, and when I opened my windows for fresh air I had to hurry and close them because of smoke. I have a wooded area behind my home with lots of dry leaves, and I live in fear that these careless burners will set it afire, which would then burn my home and my neighbors' homes. When is the city council going to pass laws to ban all burning to protect us from such a disaster? Maybe when someone's home burns and they sue the city.
