A boil-water order for customers in Cape Girardeau's northwest corner was lifted Thursday afternoon.
Tom Taggart of Alliance Water Resources said test results were good on samples from the city's water storage tank in Cape County Park.
The tank was taken off line after Alliance staff received test results showing contamination had occurred, and found birds had gotten into the water tank. The tank should go back on line by the end of the week, Taggart said.
The order affected 41 water customers on North Kingshighway. Notices lifting the boil order were hand-delivered to those customers Thursday.
