I recently had the opportunity to visit our state's capital with my daughter's fourth-grade class from Eagle Ridge Christian School. I want to thank state Rep. Nathan Cooper and his staff for making that day such a success and a truly memorable experience. Cooper went out of his way to welcome us to Jefferson City and schedule an exciting and educational day. While in Jefferson City, the students received a tour through the capitol as well as the Missouri Supreme Court. While touring the capitol, our group was taken up into the dome and into the governor's office. The class also had the opportunity to see the House of Representatives in action and go onto the House floor after the session. While on the floor of the House the students proposed and debated some bills of their own, which was a great lesson on how our government works.

Throughout the day Cooper had also arranged for the class to meet other elected officials including Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder and state Sen. Jason Crowell. Thanks again, Rep. Cooper, for going out of your way to ensure our field trip was such a great experience.
