To the editor: Listening to our federal politicians talk got me to thinking: Do their past actions give us any reason to expect them to do what they say they'll do if elected? As of now, all have been in federal office. To date, has any of them introduced any legislation to do what they say they'll do as president? If not, why? Congress must present legislation, not the president...

Listening to our federal politicians talk got me to thinking: Do their past actions give us any reason to expect them to do what they say they'll do if elected? As of now, all have been in federal office. To date, has any of them introduced any legislation to do what they say they'll do as president? If not, why? Congress must present legislation, not the president.

So if elected president, they can't do what they are saying they'll do. The president can only sign or veto what Congress sends to him or her. Why, as senators, haven't they introduced legislation to accomplish what they are saying they'll do as president, because he or she won't have that power as president?

Our politicians are feeding us a lot of bull. Most people are acting like they're buying it, hook, line and sinker. What a shame on us.
