To the editor:
The beheadings of kidnapped or captured individuals in Iraq and elsewhere have given the major news media fodder for front-page news articles or television lead-ins. Without actually seeing the beheadings or even the bodies of the victims (because the media judges them too horrific), we are led to believe that our enemies are so inhumane that we have no way to overcome their kamikaze tactics. We can visualize in our minds how horrible the beheadings are even without actually seeing the process or end results.
I wonder what the enemy must think about our abortion procedures. I wonder how many of the general public in this country have ever witnessed an abortion or viewed the results of an abortion via the major news media.
Many in the major news media and those in the pro-choice movement have led us to believe that abortion is socially acceptable. We have not been led to believe what a horrific process takes place when any kind of an abortion occurs.
During the second presidential debate John Kerry stated that although he is personally opposed to abortion, he favors pro-choice concerns. President Bush stated that he was opposed to abortion and would never use tax money to pay for such procedures.
President Bush's stance on abortion alone is enough for me to vote for him.
