It's discouraging to come to class with the objective of getting a quality education and instead being put in your place for being a conservative Republican. When I go to class I want to hear the facts of the subject I'm learning, not someone's opinion. These professors are supposed to be academic leaders, but when they go on a liberal rampage they violate their first priority, and that is to teach. It's hard to respect a professor who does not respect my views as a person.

I am glad Emily Brooker stood up for what she believes. No professor should be allowed to compel speech from a student, as Emily's professor tried. Also, what people are forgetting is this bill is nonpartisan. It protects all viewpoints, conservatives and liberals alike. This bill's main purpose is to protect all students against professors who press their views on them.

Before we start criticizing this bill we should see what its true purpose is, and that is to protect students against any professor who abuses their power to indoctrinate students to their views.
