Looking for a fun way to kick off the holiday season? Consider attending one or more of this weekend's local craft shows.
The 41st annual Arts and Crafts Extravaganza is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the Osage Centre and Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau. Saturday the show kicks off at 10 a.m. and goes until 5 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Patrons may purchase one ticket for $5 that is good for both days and locations. Sunday-only tickets are $3.
The Crafts, Gifts and Collectibles Show will take place at the Bavarian Halle in Fruitland Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Show hours are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Friday and Saturday the cost of admission is $1, and Sunday is free admission. Proceeds will benefit Notre Dame Regional High School's performing and visual arts departments, Operation Freedom Soldier Christmas Packages, Toys for Tots and Christmas for the Elderly.
The River Valley Craft Club Show will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Arena Building and 4-H Building in Cape Girardeau. Admission is $3.
A new craft fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 347 S. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau.
