David S. Broder joins the roster of Southeast Missourian columnists with today's edition. A national political correspondent for The Washington Post, Broder has his column syndicated to more than 300 American newspapers through The Washington Post Writers Group.
A native of Chicago Heights, Ill., Broder earned the 1973 Pulitzer Prize for "distinguished commentary." He was named "Best Newspaper Political Reporter" by the Washington Journalism Review in 1985 and has covered every national campaign and convention since 1960.
The author of a number of books on journalism and politics, Broder is also a regular commentator on CNN's "Inside Politics" and a regular questioner on NBC's "Meet The Press."
